New releases - Halloween

Today my The Digital Press store. I'm starting the re-release of several Halloween themed products. Which to many may be new releases.

Starting with Boo Card. I love making card to just let people know you're thinking of them.



This card template includes:
- a standard layered (psd & tiff)  hybrid card template,
- a layered version so that you many cut out each vertical strip and the ghost after decorating that can be printed and cut with cut files in your digital cutting machine.
- cut files (svg & dxf) for cutting with a digital cutting machine on paper of your choice.
- png versions of all templates and pieces for tracing with cutting machines that don't use the file types above.

Next up, one of my all time favorite things I've ever made, Pocket Cuts: Halloween.


These Halloween themed pocket scrapbooking cards, sized 3x4 and 4x4 for pocket scrapbooking or card making use. Also works well for half fold (4.25 x 5.5) card making.

This product includes:

- cut files versons in: dxf and svg for digital cutting machines

- 3x4" and 4x4" sized png files for use in digital layouts or for tracing with digital cutting machine software that do not use svg or dxf.

Now on to my contribution:

My contribution is a card that can be put together a couple of different ways.

First, there is the standard hybrid card version. The layered template can be decorated with Photoshop or Elements by clipping papers to it, then printing. First time using a hybrid template? Here's a video to get you started with hybrid templates, using Photoshop or Elements.

Second, there is also a version that you can decorate the template with digital papers and then cut the individual pieces out to assemble on a card base printed on your paper that has guides or a 4.25 x 5.5" card stock card base. This template is mostly simple cuts that can be cut by hand or with the cutting files using the print and cut method. First time using Print and Cut in the Silhouette software? Here's a video I made to show you how.

Third, a version with the cut files separated out for each color and shape, most likely to be used with printed scrapbook papers and cardstocks.

I'm probably doing a terrible job explaining this, so I've made a video to explain what I mean.

Beginner's Guide to Hybrid Scrapbooking Templates

Hello and Welcome to my Beginner's Guide to Hybrid Scrapbooking Templates. 

I've created a series of videos to (hopefully) demystify hybrid scrapbooking with layered templates and setting up your creations to cut with the Silhouette Studio software and digital cutting machine.

In the first video we will start with the basics of using a hybrid template.

Then we will take that project and open it and set it up with its cut files in Silhouette Studio (the basic edition):

The Closing of Scrap Orchard

It’s the end of an era. After providing a phenomenal place for scrappers to hang out and purchase quality (and might I add, reasonably priced) supplies for seven years, Scrap Orchard is closing its doors on Thursday, Dec 31 at 11pm Eastern time.

Over the years SO was at the forefront of “premiere” scrapbook shopping. I was an big fan of the store and more so the owners. I was horribly intimidated to start selling at this fantastic store that I had lurked in the forums for years. Kami had asked to join the team years ago, but I declined, so intimated by the talent already at SO.

I enjoyed shopping the huge sales in the Farmer’s Market, never sticking to my resolution to just spend a couple bucks. (But didn’t we all?) And then there were the fantastic events like Scrapper Bowl, Iron Scrapper (my personal fav) and Game On. And there were even live events like DigiScrapapalooza. I, unfortunately, didn’t have the nerve to attend these. But I sure wanted to.

Earlier this year I decided I was pulling myself too many ways. I pulled back from trying to design everything and narrowed my focus back to just hybrid products. I contacted Kami and she welcomed me with open arms. It was fantastic to be in that talent pool. And those enormously talented ladies were welcoming also.

I even got to meet a few of them last September. It was fantastic. If you want to talk about super nice people, it would have to include these people!!

It makes me so sad to say Scrap Orchard is closing. It makes me mad at myself that I didn’t ask Kami to join this group of wonderful individuals sooner. (No, really, these ladies are that fantastic, they are everything I wish I could be when I grow up, someday.)

I could go on and on about these ladies and this store but I won’t.  I’ve said more here than I’ve ever said here before that wasn’t related to a product. :)

On that note, I want to tell you all I will be opening a guest shop at The Digital Press starting January 2016. Will it be my shop’s permanent home? I don’t know, we’ll see how it goes. I did also want to mention I’m going to make some changes to how my products are sold. I’m pretty sure I can sell the cutting files alone, rather than with the templates, especially helpful for paper scrappers. And I have new products I can’t wait for you all to see.

I hope you will come over and check it all out starting Friday.
That’s all I have for now. I need to get back to work repackaging and packing up new products.

New Release – Mini Book Box

Hello All!! I have a new release coming out today that I’m super excited about.

 
I created this Mini Book Box for the DSD FWP Add on “I Like Big Books” Collab. Now that DSD is over it’s available as a stand alone purchase. (Although the whole kit was super cute!)

I especially love this one because it’s the perfect size for a gift card and maybe a couple sweets.

I made these with scrapbook cardstock papers.
Left: Constellation by Studio Calico
Right: Disney’s Frozen page kit by ek success

And this one with a kit from Nit Wit Collections, “Festive Floral”.

Download includes layered files in PSD and TIFF. Additional PNG and PDF formats included too. Can be cut directly onto cardstock (by hand) or with a cutting machine. Cutting files in SVG and DXF format for use with digital cutting machines.

Halloween New Releases

I love this time of year! The decorations and scrap supplies are so fun, and here are a few things you’ll hopefully add to that list.
